Thanks & Recognition
Dear Friends,

Generosity, commitment to excellence and unwavering loyalty are the common threads that make the fabric of Kiski’s community vital and strong. In the pages that follow, you will see direct evidence of these characteristics and, we hope, take genuine pride in the overwhelming support represented in this report.

The 2006-07 Annual Fund, our ongoing capital campaign, endowed scholarship support, and gifts to Kiski through the PA Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program have allowed us to raise nearly $1.5 million last year. This remarkable generosity speaks directly to the dedication of our supporters and their willingness to invest in the outstanding educational programs that define our School.

Your donations impact our students, teachers and coaches positively and directly. Annual Fund gifts keep Kiski strong and support all aspects of our operational expenses including uniforms for our sports teams, need-based financial aid, maintenance of campus facilities, professional development opportunities for our faculty, extracurricular clubs, speakers for school assemblies and many other programs that are uniquely suited to the intellectual interests and emotional development of the young men we serve.

We also wish to recognize the kind support from members of our Board of Trustees, foundations, alumni, parents, and other friends who made gifts to Building Our Future: A Capital Campaign for Kiski. The campaign’s first phase raised more than $5.8 million in three years – an unmatched success in Kiski’s history. These funds allowed for the installation of a new Fitness Center, renovations and expansions to McClintock and Daub dormitories, refurbishment of the classroom building, new tennis courts, upgrades to Rogers Fine Arts Center and a variety of other smaller campus projects.

The next phase of our campaign will focus on raising funds for the construction of a new Student Center. The design of this building will be based on the results of surveys performed by our architects reflecting feedback from students, faculty, trustees, alumni and parents. Located in the heart of campus, the 13,000-square-foot construction will allow students from every grade to interact and socialize, adding a new dimension to the Kiski experience. The building program includes facilities to support college counseling, student activities, community outreach, meetings and special events. The Student Center will also house the bookstore and snack bar.

The ever-increasing alumni support we have experienced during the past few years has been a vital component in the success we’ve enjoyed. This support includes not only financial contributions, but also visits to campus. In recent years, alumni have attended Homecoming and Reunion Weekends in record numbers. Your stories about Kiski’s past provide us with an important contextual heritage – the bedrock on which to build. Your ideas and vision for Kiski’s future are just as essential. With your help, we will continue to shape lives and advance our cause.

Our community does not end at the borders of our campus; our community thrives and grows because of the support it receives from people here and beyond. On behalf of everyone at Kiski, we thank you sincerely for your generous investment in and ongoing commitment to this School and its mission.

With all good wishes,
