The Kiski Science Trust
Elliott B. McConnell, Jr., class of 1946, has generously donated $10,000 to begin The Kiski School Science Trust. The Kiski Science Trust is an endowed fund to be utilized for the teaching of the sciences at Kiski. The Science Trust will enhance the science program by providing funds to purchase state-of-the-art scientific equipment, attain science-industry guest speakers, explore the sciences outside of the classroom, and allow the students to go on science-related field trips.

It is Elliott’s hope that The Kiski School will be nationally recognized for the sciences. He would like it to be the premier private high school to attend to study science. Elliott says, “I believe the teaching of science is taking a low priority in the United States education system. Science is an active process and students need a rich array of learning methods.” Elliott believes by starting the Science Trust that Kiski’s science program will continue to grow and more boys will be encouraged to major in science.
