Kiski Visits Nanjing China to Tour Partner School

Headmaster, Chris Brueningsen, and Associate Headmaster for Institutional Advancement, Steve Szilagyi '88, recently visited with administrators, teachers, staff, and students at the Nanjing Foreign Language School in China.  This important visit marked a crucial next step in further strengthening the relationship between Kiski and NFLS.  The relationship between the schools is moving along very well and NFLS currently has a good group of students studying from an English curriculum designed by Kiski teachers.  The students who are in the "international/Kiski track" at NFLS will be visiting, living, and studying on campus at Kiski this coming summer. In addition to special class visits and meetings with teachers, Mr. Brueningsen and Mr. Szilagyi took part in a significant Forum and strategic planning discussion with the Headmaster and the administrative leadership team at NFLS. They talked about the many creative and positive academic and cultural exchanges that have been growing and will continue to blossom between the two schools. They thoughtfully shared new ideas about ways in which the relationship could become even stronger and more rewarding for all of the students and teachers. It was a positive, educational, and rewarding visit. Both Mr. Brueningsen and Mr. Szilagyi enjoyed their time in China with the students, faculty, administrators, and staff on both NFLS campuses. They found it to be a very worthwhile visit and were excited to personally see and experience the energy, growth, and forward-looking planning and activities being implemented by NFLS.  This unique educational partnership is already creating a positive synergistic experience for both Kiski and NFLS.
