  • Standardized Testing

The Kiski School has evaluated its admission processes and is committed to ensuring that they remain student-centered and respectful of our applicants’ time.  As such, Kiski does not require any standardized testing as part of the application process*.  We firmly believe that a student’s academic achievements, his recommendations, his personal statements, and his interview speak more clearly about his ability to be successful at Kiski.  However, students who feel that submitting standardized test results (ISEE, SSAT, ACT, PSAT, or SAT) will further bolster their candidacy are welcome to do so.  Kiski often uses these tests not only for gauging admissibility of a student but also internally to further assess where a student might need more academic support.  The admission committee will not make any assumptions about why an applicant chose not to submit a standardized test and will be given equal consideration in the admission process.  If you are unclear what is the best choice for you, please do not hesitate to reach out to one of the admission counselors to get a recommendation.

*There is an exception for students applying for the Andrew Wilson Merit Scholarship. Students applying for the Scholarship are required to submit an SSAT or ISEE score for our review.
  • Schedule Your Visit

One of the best ways to get your first sense of what it is like to be part of the Kiski community is to come to visit our beautiful 350 acre campus.  While you are here, you will get a personalized tour of our facilities and have the opportunity to meet teachers, administrators and some of our current Kiski boys.  We also suggest that we use this visit to conduct the interview which is a required portion of the application process.*  Please speak with your admission counselor to discuss the timing of your visit.  We look forward to meeting you in person.

*If you are not able to come visit us in Saltsburg, arrangements can be made to conduct the interview in an alternative way.  In some cases, we might actually be able to meet you in your hometown.  While we hope to welcome you to our campus for a visit, we can also schedule a phone or web interview if it is more convenient for you.
  • Day Students

While Kiski is predominately a boarding institution, we do have a small population of day students. This option is open to local students within a short driving distance to campus.
  • Post-Graduates

Kiski does accept post-graduate students.  These are students that have already achieved their high school diploma, but are looking to pursue an additional year before moving onto college.  PG students can be eligible to compete in our athletics program and participate in the Kiski experience to the fullest.
  • United States Naval Academy Foundation Students

The Naval Academy Foundation was established in 1944 and Kiski has been enrolling Naval Foundation candidates since the late 1960s.  Our success rate with them eventually enrolling is unsurpassed and it certainly speaks for itself. Midshipmen are regular admits to the Academy while others come from Foundation referrals.  The Admission Office at Kiski partners with the USNA Foundation to craft a curriculum that will prepare candidates for the Naval Academy and for the rigors they will encounter once they matriculate to Annapolis. Our Foundation candidates enroll in our regular post-graduate program, complete five to six core classes and have the opportunity to participate in Kiski's athletic program and other extra-curricular activities.
  • Andrew Wilson Merit Scholar

The Andrew W. Wilson Merit Scholarship is awarded each year to one rising freshman who has demonstrated that they have led a life of character, integrity, leadership, selflessness, and academic excellence.  The admission committee selects the recipient of this prestigious scholarship based on their academic record, their teacher and special interest recommendations, scores on either the ISSE or SSAT exam, and several examples of leadership and service within their community.  The awardee receives full tuition, room, and board for four years provided they remain in good standing with the School.
