This Could Be You

Take a minute and close your eyes. What do you see as your future? A star athlete with your name permanently engraved into a plaque at a hall of fame? A CEO with an entrepreneurial spirit who has founded his own company to make a change in the world? A famous actor signing autographs for adoring fans while arriving on the set for your next big film? At the Kiski School our alumni have filled all of those shoes and many many more.

David Conrad ‘85 - The Actor

The acting bug was instilled in David Conrad ‘85 during his time at Kiski and never left. David was a standout star on the Kiski School stage, as well as an athlete, a Glee Club member, and a writer as the editor of The Kiski News. David is a great example of what a well rounded education can lead to. The Kiski School lead him to Brown University and then onto Juilliard to pursue his dreams. David now has a healthy career in Hollywood, yet has never forgotten his roots. In 2014, David returned to The Kiski School as an artist-in-residence to direct the Kiski boys in their fall production of the play “Goldstar, Ohio.”

Bob Mathias ‘49 - The Olympian

While Bob Mathias ‘49 isn’t the only Kiski boy to go on to achieving great athletic feats, he is the only one to bring home not one, but two Olympic gold medals. Why did the star athlete choose Kiski over all of the other noteable private boarding schools in the late ‘40’s? Bob’s dream was to attend Stanford University, but he knew his athletic prowess alone wasn’t enough to get in. Bob chose The Kiski School because he knew it was the best school to help him achieve his academic goals along with his athletic ones. In fact, Kiski has educated more football All-Americans, and sent more players to the College Football Hall Of Fame than any other prep school in the nation.

Craig Spitzer ‘83 - The Entrepreneur

If you think starting one successful company is hard, what about starting two? That’s exactly what Craig Spitzer ‘83 has done. Craig used the academic knowledge, entrepreneurial spirit, and professional attitude he learned at The Kiski School to start his first consulting firm, Alliance Consulting, in 1994, just 7 years after achieving his B.A. in Economics from The University of Pittsburgh. After selling Alliance Consulting, a firm grossing over $100 million per year, Craig set out on another similar venture, A2C Consulting & Staffing. The Kiski School gave Craig the extra experience he needed to start a successful company at a young age. The Kiski School also inspired Craig to give back to the Saltsburg community, as he and David Conrad ‘85 have purchased the “mule barn” in town with plans to renovate and preserve it to its original glory.

Craig, Bob, and David were all boys, just like you. They all made the life changing decision to go to The Kiski School, knowing it would give them the education, athleticism, and life skills needed to achieve their dreams. Let us help you pursue your goals. Schedule visit with us to see why The Kiski School is the best option for you.
