Jack Hanna '65 Hosts Kiski at Columbus Zoo and Aquarium
Our Kiski community was welcomed to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium by gracious host, Jungle Jack Hanna '65. Fun fact: Jungle Jack is the second most frequent guest of David Letterman (behind Regis Philbin) so he handled the crowd of 150 with ease. After a brief update and glowing introduction from Headmaster Brueningsen, Mr. Hanna drew amazement and laughs. He was joined by a baby kangaroo, a sloth, a penguin, and more. While introducing the animals, Mr. Hanna also reflected graciously on how Kiski helped him to "do what he loves" through "hard work," key words he encouraged the visitors of all ages to apply to their lives. The guests had access to the 600-acre zoo all day, compliments of their host, and truly treasured their time with Jungle Jack.
