Kiski @ Gilman Duals

The Kiski Cougars had 15 wrestlers spar off in 4 dual matches at the 40th Annual Gilman Duals, located in Baltimore Maryland. There were twelve very competitive wrestling programs representing these states; Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania this year. The teams that competed this year were Benedictine Prep (VA), Bishop McNamara (MD), Calvert Hall (MD), Gilman School (MD), Greens Farms Academy (CT), The Kiski School (PA), Landon School (MD), McDonogh School (MD), Lawrenceville School (NJ), Mercersburg Academy (PA), Saint Mark’s (DE) and The Hill School (PA).
 
In our first match against Benedictine Prep, Zachary Silnutzer, weight class 190 lb. wrestled Miesiko Schoenburn. In the first period Zac scored a Pin fall at 1:06. In our second match against Saint Mark’s School Kiski’s Elijah Gonzaga, weight class 215 lb. brought his match home in the second period against wrestler Scott Mckelvey, with a Pin fall time of 3:09. In our third match against McDonogh School, Cy Zufall weight class 157 lb. found his Pin fall in the third period at 4:35 against opponent Griffin Vaughn. Also, in the third match, Josuha Silnutzer, weight class 215 lb. found his Pin fall in the first period at :55 against wrestler Caden Ahalt. In our last dual match against Bishop McNamara, the Cougar’s gave it their all. Wrestler Jackson Sandor, 150 weight class executed his first Pin fall of the day against Brian Gardner, with a time of 1:30. Zachary Silnutzer was back looking for another Pin fall which he achieved in the first period of his match against wrestler Justin McCoy at 1:28. Once again Elijah Gonzaga also was back looking for another Pin fall but instead he ended up with a Technical Pin fall against his opponent Jalen Roberts with a score of 19-4. The Cougars won this match with a score of 41-27.
